So today I continued my work on practice brazing lugs to tubes to each other, etc. It's not as easy as one thinks. 99% of the time, the lug doesn't fit the end of the tube. This means filing is in order, which means potential for injury. Sometimes it takes 15 minutes to file a lug until it fits correctly, sometimes not. Instead of actually practicing my brazing today with the two, one hour work sessions we got, I filed a lug for two hours. It finally fit, started the brazing, and noticed something funky. When i was done, I sawed the tube and lug in half, to find out all that work meant nothing. The mitred tube wasn't even resting on the non-mitred tube. Sweet.
