Well, I started the TIG class this monday, and had another biking session, complete with pictures for your pleasure...

I'm almost through the first week of TIG welding. It's a very intricate practice. It will take a lot of hours to get really good at it, but I'm coming long. I can actually lay down a bead that looks semi descent. Tomorrow I get to put the front triangle together. Cosmetically, a big step. As you can see the bike is gonna be a steel dirt jumper.  31.8 mm straight gauge seat tube w/ burly post reinforcement, 34.9 top tupe, Reynolds 9/6/9 double butted, 38.1 down tube, straight gauge! That's inch and a half steel baby! This thing is gonna be super solid. Yet, it's gonna weigh about 8 lbs (frame). But, I'm not building light, building for destruction.

Also, had another good sesssion at the the quarry. Hit the bigger of the two drops finally, a little bit nervous. Landed it though, wasn't pretty the first time. Got that smoothed out though. I have to go drink a beer to celebrate. Peace!
