Sitka is easy to see by bike and has been certified by The league Of American Cyclists.  The historic downtown area, with its many visitor attractions, is compact and accessible. Sitka's paved roads extend about seven miles in either direction along the coastline.

To the north, the paved road dead-ends at the edge of the Tongass National Forest. To the south, the pavement ends but bicycling continues on a dirt road that continues another seven miles along beautiful Silver Bay.

Our mountain bikes are well maintained front-suspension sport mountain bikes--the 2009 Specialized Hardrock Sport. Please refer to the chart at right for sizing. Helmets are required and provided with each rental.
